Ignition switch

So I brought home a cycle dolly and put my 82' 750LTD on it to try things out. It was a tight fit steering the bars to the left so that I could remove my key. Later when I went to take it off of the dolly, the key would go in but will only rotate about an 1/8". I've tried the ole "jiggle the key while tapping on the back" thing but nada

are you talking about the steering lock, or the ignition ?

Both actually. Out of curiosity, I bypassed the steering lock sorta and straitened it out but the key still won't budge
