Interesting that you guys are saying that you are consuming more oil with the Rotella.
I am using the stuff and need to add some after 500 - 600 miles.
The plugs look good so I don't think it's the rings , I do have a little leak from the shifter that can wait till Winter.

I also think that I'm getting a little clutch slippage under real heavy use but I don't notice it with normal riding.

OK OMR you win , I'm returning the Rotella and picking up some of the Ganja blend :P

Oil change planned for tomorrow with the hopes of chasing down the flag in Indiana Sunday.

Should be at least 600 miles round trip, I should know something by the time I get back ;)

Upon reading the small print i see that Mobil 1 is a synthetic
So being a dumb ass I had to Wiki it to see that some synthetics can come from dinosaur turds :blush:

I've been hesitant to try going that route, in cars I had heard years ago that once you went synthetic that you should not switch back :huh: don't know why

Is that true with old KZ's or if I don't like it can I go back to straight oil with no problems ?
