Replacement baffle for a Mac canister? was created by richrand
No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationMy bike came with a Mac canister system with the overlapping-tube street baffle. It really sounds terrible to me and I'm looking to lower the volume and add a touch more back pressure. I've been told that because of the overlap-tube design I can't use any glass packing. I've tried but it doesn't seem to work well and chocks up my motor something fierce. The header is in very good shape and I'd happily keep it for now if I could figure out a better way to tune it.

I came across this:

Think its worth a try? I also read somewhere that a Kerker K2 baffle will fit, but they're quite expensive. Any advise as to how I can improve this system? Thanks!

Someone here on KZR slid a tractor muffler inside of his aftermarket can & secured it w couple of screws.
A real tractor, not an HD. Both topics have photos. Tractor muffler???
The tractor muffler guy then came up with this solution to address a back pressure issue:
Neat trick for Mac headers
