i would like to know 2 things first does the 82 gpz550 have rubber bushings installed where the motor mounts attach to engine ? also would like to know of any custom frames , hardtail chopper style for this motor , i have found some for the 750 but not the 550

I don't think the gpz550 motor had rubber bushings until 1984 ZX550 A.

I don't know of any frame you can buy, but plenty of people have modified the KZ550C frames into hardtails, choppers, and bobs. The gpz 550 motors fit into the ltd frames easily, but you will need to keep the oil cooler.

A standard KZ motor is better suited to that type of bike, though, so I would recommend a non-gpz motor, plus they are more plentiful, and probably in better condition.

A GpZ chopper? :blink: :blink: Why not get an ELR for that mod? :laugh:

ELR ? what is that , also this bike is being built to a chopper to conform to rules to race coast to coast . last year i had a larger budget but this year its a low buck build
