I know there are a few different versions of the tach drive that fits in the head. Will the different versions swap between the Z1, KZ900, and KZ1000? I have the style with the holddown cast with the drive "sleeve" and one with the holddown clamp seperate and need to know if I can interchange models in different heads.

I believe you can swap most any of them... The essential is that the body that holds the actual gear drive press fits into the block using an oring. How it is retained isn't all that important I think. Most all of them use some sort of bolt to hold them... met a new tach oil seal... I think they all use the same one but Jeff at

will know for sure.
