built408 wrote: I have a newbie cam chain question, I have some noise in my engine a bunch of people say its the cam chain. So im going to try to adjust the chain I have the origanal owners manual and it has the instructions on how to do this but it will be my first time. Any one have any advice and how will I know if it worked. So I just loosen the bolt and re tighten it? Seems a little vague and easy. Also im going to get the valve clearance checked by a professional does any one have a ball park price I should pay to make sure Im not getting ripped off. Thanks.

That's not how you do it. You may want to re-read the manual. If it simply says "loosen the bolt and re tighten it" get the Kawasaki Service Manual. Before loosening the bolt you must set the crankshaft at a specific point. Ed
