A SLIGHTLY ODD QUESTION

...here's the deal. I have a '72 H2 that's been at my house for the past 4 years. I owned it back in the mid 70's. I ended up selling it to my boss at the time, along with a brand spankin' new, never been in the frame '72 H2 engine. He rode it for years, but then it sat for 10 years and 4 years ago he gave it to me to get it in sellable condition. Which I did 4 years ago, but the sale fell through. The same guy was going to buy it the following year, someone we both worked with, so Rich had a big heart and he's been waiting for 4 years now.
...long story short, Rich owes me mucho money for parts and labor for getting the beast running every springtime. After 4 years, I'm feeling one 1972 H2 Kawasaki 750 worth. It needs a total resto to be what it once was. Which I think I can pull off if I sell the new engine for him. Question is, what's it worth to someone who really wants and needs a unfired 1972 750 Kaw engine?
...I know this is slightly off topic, but it is about an engine and it is a Kawasaki. I may not be in the ball park, but I am somewhere out in the parking lot.
...any idea of what an unfired '72 H2 engine would be worth, would be greatly appreciated.

Or call up the 1-800 guys who buy up everything Z1 -H2 valuable.
I can see someone paying $2500 or more! As long as it has been oiled down in and out.
Turned over frequently over the years. Don't have any oxidation on it.
Look what the used parts sell for on ebay. There are still dragracers out there that love transmissions and crankshafts that are not beat up.

...yeh, my thought was it might be worth 2 to 3 k, especially since it's been well kept. I figured on eBay, since I do a lot of selling there. I just wondered what others felt it might be worth and if anyone's seen one available in that condition.
...question is, who are these 1-800 guys you speak of. It might be worth running it past them to see?
...thanks for you thoughts.

Just make sure you let us know after the sale what it turned out to be worth.

...especially when you consider the original price for a '72 was just barely over a thousand dollars.
...thanks for the link.
