Why would one pipe get hotter than the other was created by Juggalo82jfl
I have a 440 ltd and I noticed the right pipe gets a lot hotter by the engine than the left does any one have a possible answere for me plz

Any other symptoms? Is the bike misfiring? Do you need to have the choke on longer than normal or to keep it running? Do the RPMS increase when you are sitting at a stop light and you are idling?
One possibility is that the valves are tight in that cylinder. WHen was the last time you checked the valve clearances?
The probable cause is that the gas mixture is too lean on that cylinder. It could be from dirty carb or air leaks anywhere from the air box to the rubber boot between the carb and head. Take the spark plug out and look at it. What does it look like? If the electrode looks white it is from a lean mixture.
