What motor oil do you use? Have you adjusted the clutch using the instructions in the Kawasaki Service Manual? Ed

See if this finally works, I seem to be having internet issues.
There's more than one kind of 10W40. If you're using synthetic or low-friction, high-efficiency type oils, they will cause your clutch to slip. If you look around the site, there's some very in-depth analysis of oils. Long story, short, use dinosaur oil. I believe the preferred oil in these parts is the rotella t (the non-synthetic), available at wal-mart. Alternately, if you buy your oil from a motorcycle shop, you should be good.

There are dozens of different 10w40 motor oils. Are you using motorcycle oil or car oil? If you use car oil that has friction modifiers it can ruin your clutch. Make sure you use oil that has marked JASO-MA marked on the container. That ensures it is the correct oil for wet clutches. It can be dino oil or synthetic as long as it is marked JASO-MA.
When you did the clutch adjustment did you use the instructions in the Kawasaki Service Manual?
If you did, and the clutch is still slipping you will need to drain the oil and open up the clutch cover to see if the plates are worn or ruined by using car oil. Don't even start project unless you have the manual and the tools necessary to do it right. Ed
