[strike]What are your pro thoughts on using a nylon brush attachment to remove old baked on gaskets? I have seen the roloc disc by 3m used, but of course in my little town, no one knows what the hell that is, even when i show them a picture.

There are brush attachments at my local hardware stores, that are nylon.. i could attach to my drill and go.. however Im worried about scratching or digging the aluminum.

Thoughts?[/strike]

Update ... apparantly the ONLY people in my town that knew what I was talking about was Lordco Auto Parts.. they have one... going to get it now !

I've used them, no issues... ACE hardware has good selections of them.

For extremely hard grime, calcium build ups etc... Lightly touch with the Orange Nylon (Hard Grit).
For light touch ups/cleaning, I use the gray Nylon...

Another tip.. Simple Green is the bomb! ;)

Dood !!! that looks nice !!! what a great clean up you have done. Looks amazing. Thanks for the tip about the green cleaner... i wonder if we have that up here in canuck land. I dont have an Ace hardware, but Ill check Home Hardware and Home Depot.

I found the 3m pad roloc bristle pad did not work as good as the youtube video I saw with it, but it did work sorta well. Ill try the nylon bristle brush for those hard to reach places.

Once again, the cleanup you did was amazing... looks brand new !!!

so in canada .. you can buy it at Candian Tire (got one) and Zellers (got one) and Home Hardware (got 3) so I should have no problem finding some. Im sure it was MORE than the green clean.. but if I can get it half that clean ..ill be sailing !
