My New to me KZ750 Spectre

I ordered a new front and rear tire, those will be replaced once they arrive... and I also know I have to replace the valve cover as there is some oil hitting my boots !! So ill do that this weekend, along with an oil change.

I just came inside from measuring the compression and im getting

#1 - 120
#2 - 120
#3 - 120
#4 - 121

I am going to buy some new spark plugs today, the ones that were in the bike are black and smell like fuel... so im going to buy the BE7 ones, hopefully that will burn any fuel that might be going in.

Could be that one of the plugs wasnt firing anyway, because I could smell unburned fuel after unloading it from the truck and riding it up the driveway. I will update my quest to fix up my new to me 750 Spectre. These forums are a great information source and I have enjoyed reading them and seeing what I need to do to fix er up.

Also, ordered my cam chain tensioner so Ill replace that once it arrives.
