 This may really task the forum...welcome neverastired!...most members hot-rod the bigger bikes...actually, the 200/250's were massed produced and sold in huge numbers in the Asian market...one would think that someone would have come up with aftermarket parts?...

Aftermarket hot rod parts for the KZ200 are extremely rare to nonexistent, you get to show your abilities by doing it all yourself, just like us old time hotrodders :D

750 twin owners (like me) can at least get two into one exhaust and cams reground.

Normal hotrod stuff, porting the head, trying to find bigger valves that will fit, finding some other larger pistons that will work, converting it to EFI (yep, I'm still on that kick), shaving the head, etc.
That's where the fun is, not installing store bought parts, anybody with money can buy HP, someone that does it themselves in their garage, has something to be proud of.

And it don't matter if it's a 200/400/440/650/750/1000/1100, it takes just as much skill to get a 50% power increase out of a 200 as it does a 1000 :)

Oh yeah, probably most people on this site are unaware of the hotrod parts available for mopeds, big bore kits, high performance exhaust, aftermarket carbs, etc are available.

Watch out the next time some moped rider challenges you and your 1000 to a race (just joking about that one) :)

Checkout www.mopedarmy.com/main/ and the forums there :)

I had a 83 250 for awhile so I did lots of looking for replacment parts in so I did find a Hy Po cam on Ebay but it was expensive ,, Since it is a single you can up grade the carb easy enough and then a straight pipe with a Muffler can off some sport bike .. One of the Kawasaki Dirt bikes use this same engine and I think there are parts for them .. What you have to under stand is that your bike might have 15hp ??? I am only guessing I know my 250 would cruise at around 55 MPH ,, .. We all started somewhere ,, even your 200 shares lots of systems like the bigger Kawasaki ,, Working on this bike WILL lead to wanted a larger bike and you will have some experance to go with this bigger bike Whatever,? it is all about having fun , and learning ,, Welcome aboard shoeman;) ;) ;)

Racing mopeds?? for real. Thats very interesting. I have seen souped up Vespas but no mopeds.

As for your bike I have not found any go fast parts, I wanted to pump up my KL250. I have some old 2mm over sized pistons for a KZ1000 that would make some power but have not found a head gasket.

Cylinder head porting , bigger carb and some type of free flowing home brew exhaust are good places to start.
