84 KZ550 Oil Plug Spinning

My problem is when I try to unscrew the oil drain plug it just spins like maybe its on a bad thread or something? I didn't try to much because I didn't want to make matters worse. It's not leaking any fluids atm. So what do I do to get this bolt out, suggestions? Or could I let it drain by removing the filter and replacing it, which i intended to do anyway.
Thanks,

I used the correct amounts of oil for a filter change and used 10w40 in the bike. So after reading around I thought I would drain it again and go up to a 20w50 and replace the filter again.

Likely that the female threads in the oil pan drain plug hole are partially stripped, and the drain plug's male threads are likely undamaged.
Am doubtful that a new drain plug would be of any help, and suspect that it would probably also spin just like the existing plug screw.
Would repair to achieve a tight fitting drain plug.
One option is to replace the plug with a larger self-tapping drain plug, which may be available at a local automotive supply such as AutoZone or NAPA.
Another option would be to replace the oil pan.
Used oil pans are available and relatively inexpensive.
Oil plug fitment isn't related to function of the oil pressure warning light, unless enough oil leaks out to activate the light.
Would suspect loose or dirty (corroded) wire connections at the oil pressure switch might be causing the oil light to flicker.
Good Fortune!

There are siphon gadgets that will such the oil out through the filler.
But you really should fix/replace oil pan as others said.
Also, you may want to try a new oil pressure switch before switching to higher viscosity oil. Or play with the wiring like Patton said.
