My shifter on my 78 kz 400 will not return on its own anymore, could it be the spring that holds the two little claws together came off, and if so can i access it by taking the engine covers off, or is it more involved than that, and would it be on the right or left side to get at it.I hope i don't have to pull the hole motor out of the bike. any info would be great. thanks
