Hi all,
I started up my KZ900 to give it a test ride for the first time since I bought it (I've been working to replace brakes/sprockets/fluids/wiring/etc...). Right away I noticed a "ck-thunk" type sound sporadically coming from the clutch (it didn't seem to happen on a set interval). So far I've only noticed the sound while in idle and not while riding around in gear...although I could have missed it due to the noise of the throttle.
Does anyone know what could be causing this noise and what might be done to troubleshoot/remedy the situation?

If not already done, would assure the counter-shaft sprocket nut hasn't loosened, and that the drive chain is lubed and has no kinks.
And also perform the clutch push-rod adjustment.
Good Fortune!
