Vance and Hines 4-1 pipe - anyone installed one?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationi'm looking at buying this pipe on ebay and was wondering if anyone had installed a V&H pipe like this.
I want to make sure it fits and although the seller says it does, i'm stuffed if i get it to Aus and it doesn't !!

I would cross reference the part number they give with the V&H web site before pulling the trigger. As far as installation, I have one of these on my 78 650. Easy to install!

They say it's road legal and within sound limits, which is a little disappointing as i wasn't to hear the bike. Plus they aren't too concerned about voice from bikes in QLD (yet) so i should get a way with it.
do the baffles come out so they can be modified?

You need to do your homework fairly well...there are several different models of V&H pipes on the open market (and some retailers do not know this) and there are differences. For example...I have a fairly new V&H 4into1 on my 1977 KZ1000-A1...that pipe does not fit on a 1980 KZ1000-B4 model. Rephrased, the actual header fits, but muffler from my KZ1000-A1 interferes with the passenger footpeg...it would have to be removed to mount the muffler on the pipe. In addition to the above, newer V&H are notorious for having fitment issues, in general.

Forget the V&H pipe. Quality went to .hit. Go with the Marving 4 into 1. It will look and sound great. Baffle takes some work and grinding to get out but the sound is unbelievable and it fits great.

Bought the pipe and it turned up in Aus in around 4-5 days later (over a weekend also!!)
Fitted OK with a very minor drilling of the mounting hole to fit my larger bolt through.
Looks and sounds awesome and for $350 USD I recon was a bargain

Yours looks Sweet all shinny and new. Don't be surprised when the chrome turns blue at the exhaust port, to the first turn.

Mind you it was a fairly easy one as it had only done 12,000 miles and had been stored well so all chrome was like new (including wheels)
so just paint and elbow grease (mainly rubbing down yellowing forks) really
oh and top end rebuild but hey it was worth it as it goes like stink now
went out on ride with the boys on their modern stuff and had no problem keeping up.
i miss my Hypermotard less and less every time i ride the Zed

One downside with the V&H new pipe if anyone is thinking of buying one.
You have to remove the whole thing to change the oil filter.
