Rattle trap sound from my engine

After I changed out my base gasket and head gasket, I had trouble with the cam chain. Some of you guys helped my get that straightened out. But now that it's back together I have some serious noise coming from the right side. Number 4 cylinder seems to sound like forks in a blender! I attached a video, take a look /listen and tell me what you think.

Im gonna say either its, a really bad exhaust leak ( did u replace the copper gaskets? ) Or its a rod knock, my 650 sounded an awful lot like that right before she threw a rod on the highway. I ope its just an exhaust leak.

Dam! I hope its' just a bad exhaust leak too! When you say rod do you mean your piston rod? I didn't replace those copper gaskets. I'm gona do that and re-install the exhaust first. Than take another listen. thanks.

If your a smoker, an exhaust leak at the head is pretty easy to spot, just blow some smoke at it and watch. If your not a smoker, you might as well start now, things probly gonna drive you to it:D

No noise at all before I tore it down, it was running and sounding sweet. It just leaked oil in about 4 spots and was getting worse. Me thinks I shoulda just rode it in its leaky state...Good one Tomolu5 about the smoking!!
I just fired it up again and I can feel the exhaust blowing out on my hand from all 4 cylinders. Those dam flange clip things were a pain in the keister to get lined up right on all 4. I held them on the end of the pipe with a rubber band but I bet they are not seating in there correctly. I didn't realize it would make such a racket!

Good deal, glad it was something simple like this. Z1enterprises.com has exhaust gaskets if you need them :)

on Z1 site right now ordering up! Finger's crossed that's all it is. I thought I really F'd up something in side that motor....again, finger's crossed.

Let me just double check with you guys. The half cresant clip things that hold the exhuast pipe in place go in with the flanged or curled side facing out, right?

Are you sure the pipe is getting hot? It sounded like it wasn't firing to me in the video. This would cause ruckus too. Re-listening to it again, I'm pretty confident that cylinder is not even firing....

Flanged end nests inside clamp grove.

Plain end is fitted toward engine.

Good Fortune! :)
