Dose anyone know a place to get some piston rings for a 1979 kz 750 b4?
I just got the case split and was going over the parts and found that the oil ring for the left side piston is cracked.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI see them cheap on ebay often. Kawi rings came in three sizes: stock, +0.50mm over, and 1.0 mm over. The aftermarket ones came in 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 1.0mm over. be sure to get the size you need.

Shame that cyclewarebales.com recently stopped carrying them. They had OEM piston/ring/pin sets for $36 each in all four sizes. I used them to rebuild my 750 twin, but they no longer list them.

Read the top of the piston, it should be stamped on it. Also can measure the bore if you have the tool.

Only way to know is to measure them. You can pick up a digital caliper for cheap now-a-days to measure the piston. If you don't have the tools you could always swing by the local machinist and ask them to measure the pistons and bores.

I can't tell wear from a picture. The scuffed sides don't look good to me.

If I was going to put the work into the engine, I would at least buy those two new standard piston/ring sets listed on ebay for $50 and have the cylinders honed enough to deglaze them and install new standard pistons and rings (assuming cylinder wear is minimal). Need to measure cylinders to know.
