Yea i was gonna say, when my 76' Ford LTD is even half a quart shy on oil (DAMN YOU WORE OUT REAR MAIN SEAL!!) I get a collapsed lifter if i go above 70 miles per hour. Low oil pressure friggin sucks :D

You didn't by some chance forget to install the big o ring on the pan did you? That will definitely cause that particular problem.
