When I bought this bike a couple months ago it showed all of it 32 years of age. The PO had even used a nylon scuff pad on a die grinder to clean up the covers ( scratched the crap out of them), followed by a gloss black touch up with overspray everywhere.
It has a newly installed 1045 kit and valve job, but I found the cam timing to be off 1 tooth on the intake with 1 valve on the tight side and 1 too loose by 1 shim size. Compression is an even 180 on all 4 now.
I sand blasted the engine and painted it with PJ1 satin black engine paint and polished all the covers. I am very pleased with the way it turned out. The frame is all stripped down/ sandblasted and ready for paint.

Thanks for the compliments. I'll post other pics of the build as I get into it. I will probably paint the frame soon and leave the rest for winter.
