I've got a 81 GPZ500 that I know leaks oil, and it's fine if I keep it topped up. I'm unsure, however, when it's getting low.
When the bike is on its center stand, the oil window appears full. But when I put it on its side stand, the window empties. So I'm not sure which one I should go by.
Anyone else have experience with this?

center stand hence center. side stand hence on the side. you will have a better reading on a flat surface center stand. just hold the grip standing to the side and center the bike looking at the level of oil.
