I am assuming they are just breathers, or possibly a pcv system that hooked in to the factory airbox, and I was planning on capping them off. Just making sure they dont actually need to be connected to anything and I'm not going to hurt it.

are they reed-valves?
something to do with emissions on certain years (aka. annoyance)

Yeah, my 76 B twin does not have them, but my 80G does, which is why I think I can get away with just capping them off

You can hook them together with a hose or just cap them off. They feed fresh air from the air box into the exhaust ports via two small passages. You can block off those passages with epoxy and use an early model cam cover, that's what I did to the 82 motor in my 79 750B.
Far as I know the 80 750G didn't have those, except maybe a California model.

May cap each of them, or connect them together.

I should clarify, the frame is an 80g, no clue if the engine is out of that frame or not.

Probably not, since that is a 4 cylinder 1000 and his is a two cylinder 750
