83 KZ440 Clutch Cable was created by stevendhall
I recently bought a 1983 KZ440. After putting a new battery in it, it runs very well. However, The clutch cable was very loose and did not engage the clutch. I adjusted the cable as far out as it would go at the center adjuster and at the lever. While this did take the slack out, it made the lever difficult to pull and the clutch is still not engaging. Any suggestions?

Perhaps a clutch push-rod adjustment is needed.
