My 79 KZ1000 LTD has been lowered 1". I use it for riding in the Blueridge Mountains. My V&H 4-1 sometimes scrapes in hard turns or bumps. Would a Mac 4-2 significantly help my ground clearance? I have a 1075 kit, 410 cams, BS34 carbs. Would I be able to notice a difference in power if properly tuned between the 4-1 vs 4-2 exhaust.

It's difficult to say that a 4-2 gives more or less power than a 4-1 as there are so much more to exhaust systems than just basic layout.
As for cornering clearance, raise the bike again. Makes far more sense in every way and will improve stability as well as handling.

I don't think Macs are the cat's pajamas for making power. The 2-1 Mac on my 750 is about like stock pipe for power.

1" is big since it barely scrapes now. Part of the reason I lowered it was I am only 5'-7". Now I am looking to lower the seat and its mounting and pass it on to my wife who is 5'-2". If she gets the bike then I can build another one for me
