Okay, now that you are all reading this and getting ready to yell at me about greasing the clutch....
I need to replace the clutch cable on my KZ 550 LTD (81) and while I have the cover off I would like to clean and grease the clutch release mechanism. So the question is what do I use for grease? Should it be a high temp grease, a waterproof grease or just some white lithium grease?

I just did mine. Cleaned it up and greased it with wheel bearing grease. Seeings though I'm running synthetic oil in the engine, I use the same for my cables (only because it's on hand).
