Interested in reversing my cylinder/head around so the carbs are in the front. Anyone familiar with this project? I understand they used to do this with the drag KZ's. Any "old school" advice would be extremely helpful. Thanks

The easiest way is to simply turn the whole motor around and make it front wheel drive. :woohoo:

You'd have to check the cam timing. It might work.

"Front wheel drive".... yep, that's outside of the box too...I actually heard that the drag bikes used to do this as a primitive ram air setup. Thanks for the reply...if you hear anything like this, let me know. Thanks

Would be more cost effective to just buy a fast motorcycle....

X2

I thought I read some where the reversed head engine is for easier tear downs at the track instead of for faster bikes.

Thank you for the advice. Two reasons I would like to try this is to tuck the exhaust under the seat and the challenge. Something you don't see everyday!!!

Well that's different. If you like a challenge and want something unique why not add a 4 valve per cylinder water cooled head while you're at it? B) Here's how (you'll need to read through the whole thread for complete instructions):

But for some inexplicable reason we never got to see a video of the finished product.
