RPM

Can some give me the rpm/mph graph for a 1983 kz1000r-2. I am try to verify all guages and the rpm appears to be higher than i expect at various speeds. I used to see them in magazine articles. Thanks Russell

Kinda depends on your gearing. Changed the front and rear sprockets & tire size from stock?
www.gearingcommander.com is what I use when going up or down in sprockets.

dont know if i have stock gearing, i do have stock tires, just riding it for the first time after taking over 7 yrs to restore, but it seems to be turning higher rpm , may be open header as opposed to baffeled one on my 81 LTD, problem is i took off the tank of the Ltd to repair so i cant compare. thanks russell

rode the bike last nite, at 65 mph engine was turning 5000. is this normal rpm or has the bike been geared differently, it is a 83 kz1000r-2. thanks
