kz 250 oil filter where is it? was created by alteran
I don't have a manual for this 1980 kz250 I just bought. I have a new oil filter element but don't know what cover to remove to access the filter on the bike.
Cam someone help?

And would anyone know the oil capacity?

Thanks!

alteran,

go to the Kawasaki web site, www.buykawasaki.com and under 'owner info' you can link to parts diagrams for your machine. It's a snap to do. I printed out diagrams and made a booklet to help when I work on my bike. You'll find your filter.

The oil qty is probably between 3-4 qts. Your bike should have a way to check the level, like a sightglass window on the lower right side of the engine? Add a couple qts and let it settle, then fill the rest up to the middle of the window.

It's inside the engine, you get to it by removing the right side engine cover.
I can scan some pics. if you need them.
