Order of Adjustments?? was created by srosebrock
I was going to check/adjust the float level, pilot screws, and synch the carbs. Is there a particular order I should do these things in for better results?

Thanks, also, how do I know if the mixture screws are adjusted properly other than just by how the bike sounds. It takes forever for the bike to warm up so I am trying to balance things out as much as possible.

You will need to check the valve clearance before you try to sync the carbs. If any of the valves are tight that will mess with the sync.

Idle quality, initial throttle response, backfiring on deceleration, all those play into the pilot mixture adjustment.

As was pointed out, the valve lash adjustment should be part of the tune up. Ignition timing should be checked as well. Carb synch is the final step in a tune up.

Cool, thanks, I checked the valve and the timing already, the carb adjustments are the last thing on my list.
