jugs have a lip in journal was created by 79kz1000*
So i bought a set of piston an jugs on ebay. started getting things to put back together an now found out that my number 3 journal has a mark. where it looked like the piston was sitting an had left a mark which has a slight lip to it???? not good news for me.

Did you run a ball hone through the cylinders?

Just put it on e-bay... No wait, that is what the last guy did that discovered it.

Actually, if you can feel it, then the bore would probably be worn enough to be oversize. You could always rebore it for a larger piston.

can swap a sleeve with your old block and bore that one to the piston.

I've seen this scenario so many times now...... Got Junk... Unload it on Ebay :pinch:

In our crankshaft dept, we occasionally have cranks fail mag, which means they are cracked....junk. Most customers will fax us a note giving us permission to throw them away.

However, now and then we get a guy who is willing to pay return freight on the junk crank. Guess where those cranks are going.
