Dyna S mounting problem '84 ZN1100

Gentlemen! I want to upgrade the ignition on my '84 ZN1100. I picked up a Dyna S kit that won't fit. I emailed Dynatek and they responded with the following info: Kawasaki changed the 'pick up mounting' in '82. However, if I change the 'right side casting' to one from an earlier 'J' model it'll fit WITH a 'mechanical advancer'.
I must admit to being a total Noob in regard to these things and don't know where to look and what exactly to look for. I've looked on ebay and PowersEdge (OEM parts) to no avail.
Any help/advice/links would be greatly appreciated!

Your bike has a CDI ignition and you need a ignition housing from an 81 up with a mechanical advancer. Dont know which models had the CDI but if you found and LTD or CSR 1000 housing they would work.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI just searched a couple minutes and found this, im sure there is a cheaper one somewhere. The earier KZ's had a smaller seal and your need the big seal J version like this one.

So thats what I'm looking for in regards to 'right side casting'? A inner ignition cover? And what about the 'mechanical advancer'? Is that part of the Dyna kit or is that something seperate/stock?

Is there a problem with your Factory Ignition? Changing out to a Dyna S and mechanical advance doesn't sound like an upgrade. Maybe the Dyna 2000 with a programmable curve would be a upgrade over the stock system.

What motor head said. The stock Kawasaki electronic ignition is very good, don't mess with it if works.
