"I've talked to a few members here about oil pressure on the KZ900/1000 engines and what the factory manual states. Something like 2.8 psi. @3000 rpm. I never had a gauge on my Z1-R when I was riding it so I have no idea what these engines run as far as oil pressure goes. What is normal on your gauge?
I saw this vid and thought it was interesting to see his oil pressure jumping up to around 15psi just blipping the throttle up to around 3k. Look at around 1:33 in the video. Is this what I'm looking for? Thanks."

Street Fighter LTD wrote: Gauge works fine. Thats how they act when oil is still cold. Once warmed up fully gauge will settle down to 3 psi spec.
Thanks Street Fighter.
Don, why do you say his gauge is off? Do you run a gauge on your 1000?
You have a PM, did you get it?

baldy110 wrote: My GPz1100 engine will do that when the engine is cold. It will go up to about 15 pounds of pressure when I blip the throttle whne cold. After it warms up though it will idle around 2.5 and go to about 5 pounds when I blip the throttle.
10-4. Thanks baldy.
