Has anyone ever heard of a cam with 0.465 lift. That is the best guess I can get out of the cams I removed from the mystery engine. Roy

remove a zero---.465 inches is a plausible lift measurement for a set of very wild KZ1000 cams.

Hey Roy, don't forget that the base circle on stock cams is about.962".
So when you just roll the mic or calipers over the lobe to get the highest measurement
does not mean the gross lift. You have to subtract something?
Let the Machine shop Head guys tell you.
Do you have a set of stock cams layin around to compare?
I looked at some stock used cams. there total measurements were about 1.418" -1.420"
across the lobes.
Did the head holding them cams have machined relief clearence spots on top by the lifter buckets?
Was it using shim under buckets?

Cans of that lift usually have a 1.00" base circle. Stock is 1.110"

I measured the lobes and subtracted the base circle. And yes the head was clearanced.

Thanks racer, I am just trying to nail down who made these cams.

Thanks Jay, I guess I could put all these parts in the lay down frame I have and just look at it and make noise at meets !

It was suppose to be Mike Brusso's bike! ;)

I will have the head apart this morning. I don't think it has stock springs in it. :S

I am going to sell the whole package together. Roy
