I have a 78 kz650 and need a new engine. I found a 1980 750 but I don't know if it will fit. The 750 does not come with carbs. Does anyone know if the 750 will fit in my frame? also will i be able to use the carbs off the 650?

As long as it's a four cylinder then the answer is yes and yes.

Replied by ultimate fighter on topic engine swap/ 80 kz750 engine in a 78 kz650 frame
this is my 77 kz650 with a 1286cc big bore yamaha.

so i guess what i'm trying to say is... Yes it will fit.

More than likely the only difference will be electrical BUT don't hold me to it
