hi to all

one quick question i have a 1982 kz1100 spectra. what i would like to know is what kind of oil pressure should i have .i know a lot of variables just in general.want to buy a gauge.thanks

You need a low pressure gauge, as the oil pressure will be low compared to a conventional engine. About 3psi hot, so a gauge that goes from 0-10 or 15 psi would be required.

The bigger 4's oil pressure will be between 2.2 and 2.8 PSI, as they have roller bearing crankshafts(Z-1's Kz900's,Kz1000's and Kz1100's)

If I'm not mistaken, it's only 6 psi.

2.8psi at 3000 is right i believe. i had a couple of gauges years ago. i found that the pressure would be hi when cold, and if i revved it too hard the gauge would brake and no longer function. so make sure it is warmed up well before u gas it hard.
