Oil Leak magically fixed! was created by ramtough_63
When I originally got my bike running I changed the oil Mobil 1 the jug always leaked and had to be wiped off after every ride and my shifter rod leaked a little not to mention Tach drive etc..

Made it a pain to leave parked because I had to keep a couple pieces of cardboard under it

So this year after my swingarm conversion I drained the oil put a new filter with oring etc.. replaced shifter shaft seal and tach seal not ready to but a borrom block gasket on I figured get this riding season out of the way and build my dream motor.

decided to try some Lucus Motorcycle oil over filled it by what I thought was a little any way get on her take her for a ride and the right reat cam seal blew out puked oil down my leg and made a mess bummed me out pretty well but put the plug back in checked the oil it was perfect after my initial clean up i had a small tach seal leak took it out cleaned it up put it back in.

posted some pics when I degreased ot and cleaned it up well... the block seeping has seemed to stop and id dry as a bone underneath. not sure if it was the Lucus the overfilling or what but
the KZ oil seeping gremlin is bothering someone else. Good times!!

Lucas uses an epoxy resin in their oils specifically designed to stop leaks :side:

I don't think I like the sound of that epoxy resin in the oil. :( That just gives me a bad feeling.

Great, thanks...you sent the gremlin to me...I have seeping oil from a few spots...I think the oil filler o-ring is the biggest culprit, but i am changing all the right side gaskets just to be safe...anymore leaks after that and it will be too serious for me to mess with.

The valvoline high mileage stuff definitely reduces leaking.
