What is the favorite method for cleaning your engine while in the bike? I have one that has been sitting around for a few years and is looking pretty dull. I have heard of spraying it down with different chemicals, etc. but not sure what to use.

I picked up a small power washer / steamer for free, I've been using the steamer to clean the bike engine. Its almost like a magic oil cake eraser! It's not very powerful so I have to hold it right on the bike, so it only cleans like a 1/4 inch spot at a time, but its fast. I'm following up with brass brush on some of the tougher spots. I fill it with 1 part simple green to 3 parts water. Bike's never been cleaner. I'm sure it will oil right up just as soon as I get back on the road again.

enjoy,
Rick
