1980 KZ1000. Reeds are stuck open on the smog system. They are connected together by a rubber hose. Do I need to do anything or is that ok?

If your running pod filters and have the stock airbox removed its ok. It stops the bike from popping while deceling.

Yea, K&N's. I would've thought hot exhaust gas going back and forth thru the rubber hose would melt it or worse since my reed valves don't hold. I can get air to flow both directions on both reeds.

Are we going to have to do the damn captive code on every post? This is as bad as the TSA.

If your worried about it you can always pull the valve cover and plug off the emmision ports.
