Trans wont shift up into 2nd on stand

Gentlemen, I have a barn fresh GPZ1100 with 7500 miles ( wasnt abused just neglected) on my table for a carb conversion from the non working fuel injection. I just noticed that the trans will go into first and up into neutral but will not go into second. Just springs back into neutral. I am assuming this is just a broken or loose piece just inside the shift cover. Has anyone had this experience that might save me a little grief? I have just received the manual ($65) from the fellow in New Zealand so I looking forward to breaking into the side. If I have to split cases it may get pushed to the back of the shed for awhile.

hi good luck with bike if you check in to it you will find it has a fetcher on it called positive neutral or something like that :huh: it wont shift up unless the bike is moving. mine is same way. sounds cool on one hand but maybe not dont know yet :lol: be cool man and by the way pitchers are all ways nice love um

You could get a lot of help here to get the FI working. Possibly save some money and get a good runner worth more as completely original. Good luck. Don't feel dumb, that neutral finder gets a lot of new Kawi owners. :S

That fi is pretty easy to get going. It would be a lot easier to get that going If its all there.
