If anyone sees anything unusual, ie not stock, problems, please let me know. Just bought this old drag bike and don't know much history on it yet.

I see some wear on the cam lobes. I was thinking of trying to mic the lobes to see if these are higher lift than stock but not 100% sure how to do that. I was going to measure the base from side to side then measure from the base to the peak of the lobe. The difference would be total lift, right? Any suggestions welcome. And what would intake and exaust lift be on a stock cam?

Engine runs very well, btw. I just removed cover to freshen up gaskets and seals and thought I would explore a little and check valve adjustment. The ones I have checked so far are right about .10mm.

Make sure you are using oil with sufficient ZDDP in it, or get the additive and put it in.

It looks like stock sprockets and I don't see any clearancing for big lift, so my guess is they're stockers.

You are right about checking the lift. Measure across the base of the cam and then from the base to highest point on lobe. Subtract base measurement fromt he lobe number and you will have the lift. May not be exact but will be close enough to let you know what you have. Stock cam spec.s are aprroximately .300 on the exhaust and approx. .325 on the intake. Those numbers aren't right but they are close.

I just measured them:

.362 intake
.366 exhaust
is that still considered stock cams?

No, not for an A2. Might be something similar to webcam 118's.
