exhaust collars was created by nobody
hi got a question on my 1982 kz1100 d exhaust collars are short abouy 1\2 inch stock.but the mac 4in to 1 takes one that is about i inch.however when i look them up it seams that they used both ? any way i know i need the long ones but are all for same diameter pipe ?? thank you ps anybody have a set of eight they want to get rid of ??? pm me

If it is anything like the mac exhaust I just installed on my Kz1000P, you use the long collars only that came with the pipe. The factory pipes have a .5" flange already, these coupled with the stock short collars are the same length as the long collars in the kit.
Just did mine last sunday. Also, make sure you get new copper crush washers (gaskets), dab a little silicone on one side at top and bottom and they will stick to the head, if not, it's a PITA.
Also, if your kit is like mine, the long collars are split, with a small amount of metal holding each half together DON'T BREAK THEM APART! Just pry them open and slip around the header. If you do break them, use a rubber band to wrap around them during installation, then simply cut the band before tightening everything up.
