Valve clearance check (how much drag on feeler) was created by odl666
Hello All!
I am changing the valve clearance on my 1978 KZ650B. How much drag should I feel when pulling the guage out? I can easily use a larger feeler guage but it feels like a slight wall just before I push it through and has quite a bit of pressure on the guage when moving back and forth (is this the correct clearance to use?). Whith the Spec Clearance feeler guage size I can easily push tthe guage through and when I move back and forth has a slight drag.
I am confused on how much clearance do I need to account for? is it the larger guage that I have to some :S what push through or is it the thinner guage that easily slides in but has some drag when moving back and forth?
Thank you!
Mark

Should slide in fairly easy with a slight drag, if you have to push too hard its too tight.
