Where do I get parts for my 78 KZ1000 A1?

you know i was curious about that. i look at the vin and there is just an A so i assumed it was not an A2 or it would have said otherwise. Mayabe its not a 78 at all maybe its a 77? where can i go to plug in my vin and find out the exact model?
