kz750 13 digit vin number?

i have an old kz750 engine that i plan on restoring, but i know nothing about it, i have tried decoding the 13 digit vin but cant seem to find anything to decode it, i need to know the model number and what not, the vin is KZ750BE051968 if its any help,

Hmm...Zedder.com is a pretty good reference for these things, but they show the last B model ending at 046086 or so.

'81 KZ750-E2 engines fall in that range, but with an EE #, not BE.

That looks more like the engine number stamped on the top right rear of the motor near the kick start. Is it?

KZ750BE means it's a 76-84 750 twin motor, and if that is the engine number then it's probably a 1980 KZ750G motorcycle.

You have the whole bike or just the motor? If you have the bike then post some pics for further ID.

its just the motor but yeah its the engine # on the back left quarter of the motor, i thought it was around an 80's model, i appreciate all the help guys! and also, i need a coil for that model, any ideas? or could i buy after market? i prefer the original tho
