Adding extra plates to clutch was created by letthegoodtimesroll
If you had the plates, can you add an extra steel and clutch plate to make it like the APE clutch or are the clutch plates from the APE kit thinner to allow the extra plates?

1977 KZ650C1, Kerker Header, Dyna ignition and coils, GPZ 750 oil pan and cooler

Our plates are thinner so that with the extra plates, the clutch pack height is still the same.

I bought a Honda one time that someone thought it would be cool to install an extra friction plate ,, I had a time figueing that one out ,, it would drag when the lever was pulled in ,, anyway I would not really say it was a good thing .. ;) :sick:

It is great if they work loke they are supposed to. Ours gives you about 14% more clutch.
