Hi All,

ok....

had GREAT luck today! Thanks....

after looking around at a few different things (and weighing all the GOOD advice/suggestions), the BELOW is what i came up with to get that nut off...

(see the pic below)

1) had the bike on the side stand and in gear

2) used the "clutch tool"(but first used a grinding stone to grind down the metal slats a little bit - they were a bit too wide to fit nicely within the spaces of the clutch) - had this tool ludge against the bolt of the foot peg as a "stress bearing member" - cable ties are there just to keep it from moving around; this is positioned at ~6 o'clock

3) based on advice from a guy at a cycle shop, i picked up 2 HUGE screw drivers and have them wedged in as well (they're at ~10 and 11 o'clock); i figured to keep them in place i would attach them (with hose clamps) to the bike's frame - again as "stress bearing members"

4) got myself a length of pipe as a "breaker bar"

I held my breath, said a little prayer (only kidding) and gave the pipe one good HEAVE!!

!

i heard/felt some movement!

did it again...

ZIP!

right off!

THANKS!!!
