Not sure I know what a "clutch release" is. Help us out by copying the www.buykawasaki.com parts diagram and posting it with the part you need marked. I can only think of one ball bearing used between the clutch pressure plate pusher and long rod that goes from the left to right of the engine. I think this is a standard 3/8" ball bearing (can't recall size for sure).

I would suggest a "Bearing Supply Store". They can, generally, supply small steel balls. They will need a sample for size.

Sorry for my ignorance. I had NO idea that was called a clutch release or there were bearings hiding under the plastic. I though it would just glide along in the worm sleeve. Almost all bearings on a KZ are SAE (inch) sized and not metric. I would also think that if you watched US eBay, the whole thing would come up on auction frequently. I would also have someone do a zedder.com software parts look up to see which of these things are the same as I can't imagine Kaw making a lot of different "clutch release" mechanisms since they all do pretty much the same thing.

just to make it worse he's away all weekend then off to the IOM next week, so thats the job total bolloxed..

Not sure if this fits yours, but here's one I spotted on ebay...
Item number: 4639880393
(couldn't get the target to cut and paste)

I used a 900/1000 APE clutch pusher even though it didn't list it fitting the 650 and it works, so I hope this works too!:) :) :)
CHEERS!
