I started with a 77 650B and then when it was close to being done, I came across 3/4 of a 1980 750 LTD. I bought it all thinking I was just going to use the rear wheel, exhaust, and front calipers. In one quick swap I put the 750 into the 650s frame. Then the wiring took me a little work, only because I am a cheapskate and didnt want to start from scratch on the harness, and I had the 650s wiring mostly done when the 750 arrived.

The only "drop in" engine that will go in a 650 is a 750 4cyl.

Cheers for the insight and the link, ive been thinking about the cats-eye tail light for mine and now i know how it looks.
Unfortunately now im wondering weather the GpZ 750 would go in with or without the shoe-horn.

Yep, GPz750 (83-85 anyway) is pretty much a bolt in, have to trim the sprocket cover a little, and deal with the wiring.
