oil light was created by andyman236
i have a 80' 750ltdt and the oil light has been coming on recently only after highway riding. maybe temp related not sure where to start. does'nt seem to come on after long rides only after highway. was wonder if anyone else has had similar problems and may know what it is.

probably oil sending unit or maybe a wire has come loosefrom the oil sending unit. Had the same problem with my bike, wire had come loose from the oil sending unit,

Theres an aftermarket oil cooler on mine and I have to keep the oil level just tipping the top of the sight glass or the oil light will sometimes come on.
Could your oil level be low ? - probably a stupid question on my part.

do an oil pressure test, if the pressure is good.....then touch the wire to the ground, if the light goes out when you touch it, wiring is good, and then its probly your sending unit
