how to get out a stubborn baffle was created by cary
As those who may have followed my sad saga of ignition problems, I blew out a baffle due to my spark dying at 75 mph. I have a another canister with a baffle in it, but can't get the thing out. Is there an easy way to this without trashing the muffler?

BTW, this is a MAC, which had a small bolt and nut holding the baffle in, the baffle is about 2 inches into the pipe.

sounds like its rusted in a bit, try spraying a wack load of wd-40 and let it sit for a bout a half hour, and maybe go back and sray a bit more in every 5 mins.....maybe that will help free it up??

If you have a slide hammer with a small hook you can try hooking one of the holes or an inside lip of the baffle. My baffle is pretty tight in the can and when I remove it get the vice-grips or channel locks out and I have to give it a few good raps with a 2lb. hammer and it comes right out.

You know, my wife opens stubborn jars by holding it under hot water and then dunking it in ice cold water. Not really sure where I am going with this...lol. Of course I tap the jar lid. Coffee....need more coffee.
